


NAMING CEREMONIES
A Naming Ceremony is a wonderful opportunity to tell the world you have a special
person to be welcomed into your community, whether it be a baby, a child or an adult.
Some parents choose a Naming Ceremony for young children and then allow their child to choose baptism or christening when they are older and can make an informed decision for themselves, or a Naming Ceremony can simply substitute for a traditional baptism or christening for people who have not previously been named.
Like the other Civil Ceremonies, this ceremony can be whatever you want it to be.
The Naming Ceremony can involve just your child and parents, or involve godparents or guardians, grandparents, other family or friends.
It is a great time to involve special people in your family and acknowledge the importance
of the roles and responsibilities of guidance that have been bestowed
